It’s Championship Time – NHL Stanley Cup Fever
At Autism Speaks – we have Stanley Cup Fever! The 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs have left us on the edge of our seat! There have been so many exciting matchups and upsets around every turn. As you may have seen, we’ve teamed up with the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) to launch Face-off Against Autism, a unique digital fundraising initiative that will allow hockey fans to show their support for their favorite team and player throughout the playoffs while also supporting autism research and awareness efforts. Every fan who visits http://www.autismspeaks.org/nhl and buys at least one puzzle piece will receive a 20% discount off their next purchase at the NHL Store powered by Reebok and be automatically entered for a chance to win one of four jerseys autographed by NHL stars Alex Ovechkin, Martin Brodeur, Sidney Crosby or Henrik Lundqvist.
The finals have opened up with a bang between the Vancouver Canucks and the Boston Bruins! It was a true battle in this game – through 59 and a half scoreless minutes, the Canucks came out on top with a goal by Raffi Torres. Roberto Luongo made 36 saves in his third shutout of the postseason for the Canucks. Can Patrice Bergeron lead the Bruins to a comeback? We can’t wait to see what this series has in store!
Tell us who you are rooting for, and why in the comments after you buy your piece of the puzzle!
